Job Duties

  • Regular communication (verbal and written) with our internal and external customers

  • Answer customer calls, place orders, release orders and backlog management

  • Participate in production scheduling decisions

  • Prepare regular reports (cost variance, backlog, on-time delivery)

  • Coordinates warranty, RMA s and customer returns

  • Follow all established guidelines for working with customers to ensure maximum customer satisfaction

  • Handles customer complaints immediately and according to the Company s guidelines

  • Coordinates a prompt, efficient, and timely flow of paperwork

  • Work with operations to ensure customer requirements are being met

  • Contributes to achieving departmental KPI s (bookings, shipments, on-time delivery)

  • Provide input for forecasting and growth objectives for parts

  • Seek out new business opportunities


  • High School diploma and five (5) years related experience required

  • Two (2) year degree in Business or Accounting and related experience preferred

  • Minimum three (3) years heavy equipment parts sales

  • Prior railroad industry experience preferred

  • Five (5) years related experience and/or training.

  • Strong ERP (BAAN) system knowledge.

  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel (required)

  • Working knowledge of CRM, BOM s, time standards, routings, work center loading, and master scheduling
