Job Description
GPS is hiring Legal Assistants for an established law firm in Orangeburg, SC! Why you should apply:
• $19.00–$21.00 per hour
• 1st Shift: 8:30 AM–5:00 PM Monday–Thursday,
8:30 AM–1:00 PM on Fridays
• Direct-hire placement with long-term stability
• Accrued PTO and sick leave
• Professional, supportive office environment What you will do:
• Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents and correspondence
• Maintain and organize electronic and physical case files
• Schedule appointments, hearings, and meetings
• Manage calendars and track deadlines
• Assist with filing documents with courts and agencies
• Answer calls and provide general administrative support
• Gather and input information into case management systems
• Handle mail, scanning, copying, and clerical tasks
• Coordinate communication between attorneys, clients, and others What you need to bring:
• Administrative or legal support experience preferred
• Excellent attention to detail and organization
• Professionalism when handling confidential information
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic office equipment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting A drug-free workplace and a criminal background check are required.
