Job Description
GPS is currently hiring Electrical Assemblers for immediate positions in Columbia, SC. Our client is a global leader in railway track maintenance and construction! We’re seeking Electrical Assemblers to build custom electrical panel boxes and boards. Why Apply?
- Competitive pay: $18-$19/hr
- 2nd shift schedule (2:00 PM - 10:00 PM)
- Long-term position with potential for hire

- Assemble electrical panels following blueprints and bill of materials (BOM)
- Install components like terminals, breakers, and contactors
- Perform electrical work, including cabling, soldering, and wire pulling
- Label wires using a computer-based labeling system
- Drill holes into panels based on diagrams
- Track time spent on jobs using the Kronos system
- Maintain quality standards and follow safety protocols
- Experience in electrical panel assembly or a similar manufacturing role
- Ability to read electrical blueprints and work with electrical components
- Proficiency in soldering, crimping, and wire installation
- Basic computer skills for labeling and time tracking
- Construction or industrial electrical experience is a plus
