Job Description
GPS is currently recruiting a Lead Forklift Operator in the Orangeburg, SC area to join our client’s winning team. Our client has been in business for over 45 years, employs over 600 team members across 13 locations, and is the top choice for pressure-treated lumber. Why You Should Apply:
- Starting rate of pay: $18-$19/hr
- Temp-to-Hire
- 1st shift, 7AM – 4PM
- Monday to Friday
- Some overtime available
- Climate-controlled forklift
- Opportunity for growth and development
- Operate heavy-duty forklift to transport lumber
- Accurately load trailers for delivery
- Unload incoming trailers and trucks
- Ensure the accuracy of loads
- Assist the supervisor in daily operations
- At least 3 years of experience operating a forklift
- Leadership skills to supervise and mentor other employees
- Attention to detail and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to coordinate team efforts to meet production goals/deadlines
- Effective oral and written communication skills
