Job Description
GPS is hiring Q.C. Lab Technicians for immediate positions in Columbia, SC. Why You Should Apply:
- Starting Pay: $22.00/hr
- Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday

- Conduct chemical experiments and tests using techniques like gas chromatography and spectroscopy.
- Prepare chemical solutions and analyze solids, liquids, and gases for compliance.
- Monitor product quality and processing to meet standards.
- Maintain and clean lab equipment, ensuring a safe and organized workspace.
- Assist with plant raw material handling and maintain inventory.
- Inspect and prepare samples for shipment, following regulatory requirements.
- Record, compile, and interpret test results.
- Education:
- Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: Associate's Degree in a related field
- Experience:
- Minimum: 1 year in a related role.
- Preferred: 3+ years in a similar position.
- Skills:
- Basic written and verbal communication.
- Strong math skills and knowledge of wet lab chemistry.
- Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions.
- Safety First Attitude:
- Follow all safety protocols, including wearing proper protective equipment.
- Maintain a clean workspace and report any unsafe conditions.
