Job Description
GPS is hiring a Shipping Manager for a leading sign manufacturer in Columbia, SC. Why You Should Apply:
- $18.00/hr - $20.00/hr starting rate of pay
- Direct hire position, on the client's payroll from day one
- Medical, Dental, 401(k), Vacation, and Holiday Pay
- 1st Shift (hours will vary)
- Oversee the shipping department
- Assist with the final assembly of signs and ATM products
- Check all orders for quality control and accuracy
- Crate or box orders for shipment
- Load and unload trucks and trailers
- Properly secure loads for transport
- Schedule shipments with shipping vendors
- Review and approve all shipping invoices
- Receive and check all incoming materials for accuracy
- Process shipping receipts
- Operate a forklift and build crates when needed
- Work overtime when needed
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more regularly
- Forklift certification is a plus
- Basic carpentry and math skills
