Job Description
GPS is hiring Night Shift Utility/Machine Operators to join our team in Estill, SC. Our client: A Fortune 1000 manufacturing company that produces linear irrigation equipment, windmill support structures, lighting, traffic, and steel utility poles. Why you should apply:
- Starting pay: $18.00/hr
- 2nd Shift: 3 PM – 1 AM
- Temp-To-Hire potential

- Read job specifications to determine adjustments and materials needed
- Set up and operate pole production machinery
- Load materials, install tooling, and ensure quality production
- Regularly inspect parts and machinery for quality
- Troubleshoot operational and quality issues
- Assist in equipment changeovers and assembly
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Cut, label, and package parts
- Perform minor machine maintenance
- Utilize cranes to lift and move materials
- 3 years of machine operation experience
- Ability to set up, operate, and perform basic maintenance
- Physical stamina to stand, lift, stretch, and bend
- Stable work history with verifiable work references
- Ability to use and read a tape measure
- Basic math skills
