Welder/Fabricator
Job Description
GPS is hiring Welder-Fabricators for a family-owned Machine Shop in Summerville, SC! Our client is a leading manufacturer of custom hard-plastics and metals for many industries including cement, automotive, and mining. Why you should apply:
- $25.00/hr
- 1st Shift (7:00AM – 3:30PM Monday through Friday)
- Temp-to-Hire

- Accrued PTO.
- Will perform fabrication utilizing blueprints and drawings.
- Take and read measurements.
- Perform both MIG and TIG welding.
- Some art-gouging is to be expected.
- Weld components using various equipment.
- Perform self-conducted quality inspections on finished work.
- A welding certification and/or experience is required.
- MIG and TIG welding knowledge and experience is required.
- Ability to weld any metal.
- Forklift experience is a plus.
- Stable, reliable work history is required.
- Must provide your own welding hood.
- Must be able to read blueprints and drawings as needed.
- Must be able to read a tape measure and other measuring calipers.
